The problem
Most tools want a single OpenAI-compatible base URL. You end up with many provider keys, surprise bills, and premium models doing work a smaller model could handle. VibeKey is one key, one bill, and routing that matches the task.
How it works
- Create a project and generate a VibeKey customer API key (stored as a hash only).
- Point your tool at your site's
/v1base URL and pick a model likeauto-balanced. - We route to DeepSeek or OpenAI, log usage, apply a simple markup, and enforce daily and monthly spend caps.

Spend caps
Configure daily and monthly USD caps per project. When a cap is exceeded, the gateway stops accepting completions until the window resets. Caps complement future rate limits (see roadmap).
Estimated savings
After each call we estimate what premium routing would have cost and surface savings in your dashboard. Pricing uses configurable placeholders until automated provider sync ships.
